TenTrix

Puzzle 37 plays

TenTrix is a turn-based block puzzle played on a 10x10 grid. Instead of watching pieces fall, you choose where to place them. Fill a complete row or column to clear it and make room for more blocks. The challenge is to keep the board open while finding a place for every shape you receive.

How to play TenTrix

Each turn gives you three pieces. Drag or tap a piece onto any open part of the board where its shape fits. After you place all three, a new set appears. Complete a full horizontal row or vertical column to remove those blocks and free up space. The game ends when you can’t place a remaining piece.
The pieces don’t fall from the top, and you generally can’t rotate them. Their orientation is fixed, so check each shape before you place it.

TenTrix tips for better moves

Look at all three pieces first. Don’t choose a spot just because it fits the first block. Check whether the other two shapes will still have somewhere to go.
Keep the board flexible. Large, connected open areas are usually more useful than many tiny holes. A narrow gap may look like a good fit now but leave no room for a bigger piece on the next turn.
Plan around rows and columns. A nearly complete line can be useful if you can finish it with one of your available pieces. Clearing a line opens space, but avoid placing a block to complete one if it makes the rest of the board difficult to use.
Use edges and corners with care. Compact pieces may fit neatly along an edge or in a corner. Try not to trap open spaces behind blocks or split the center into small pockets.
Save room for awkward shapes. Since pieces can’t be turned, a shape that seems easy to place may be difficult to fit later. Leave open areas that can accommodate different block arrangements.

TenTrix vs. Tetris

TenTrix and Tetris both use block shapes and reward planning, but their moves work differently. In TenTrix, pieces don’t fall; you place them on the grid yourself. You clear complete rows or columns, and the available pieces arrive in groups of three. That gives you time to plan, while making board space and piece placement central to the puzzle.

Where can you play TenTrix?

TenTrix is available as a browser game on gaming sites, including CrazyGames and Coolmath Games. Those listings describe desktop and mobile browser play, with pieces moved by dragging or tapping. Availability and controls can vary by site or device.

FAQs

Can you rotate pieces in TenTrix?

In the browser versions described by the game listings, pieces cannot be rotated. Plan around the shape and direction you’re given.

Do pieces need to match in color?

No. In the classic block-placement game, the goal is to complete a full row or column; matching colors is not required.

Is TenTrix the same as Tetris?

No. They share a block-puzzle feel, but TenTrix uses a fixed grid and lets you place pieces rather than maneuvering falling blocks.
